Walls, windows, and the sky

I lived right on the East River, which spread out outside my window like a big, peaceful lake. The bustling streets of Manhattan lay at the back, where New Yorkers face a flood of messages and signs, which intend to guide, attract or deter. They turn streets, walls and beaches into galleries and make corporate culture look pale.

The photographs are like colorful glass stones in a kaleidoscope. If you shake them, patterns with a multitude of layers appear, a myriad of colors and meanings.
