Werner Haug (*1951) is a Swiss photographer.
He was working for the Red Cross, the Swiss Government, and the United Nations in different countries and contexts.
His photographs portray people, document events, and explore different environments, with a focus on civil and human rights, identity, and belonging.
The early works of 1969 to 1983 are archived in the Swiss Foundation of Photography, Winterthur, and the National Library of Ireland, Dublin. Later works cover topics and places in the Western Balkans, Central Asia, Xinjiang (China), Pakistan, Morocco, New York City, Mexico, Istanbul, Myanmar, and Switzerland.
